My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is based on my personal experience as a student, trainer, and business professional. I feel that life is about serving others, and teaching is a powerful method to practice the art of giving. I have been positively influenced by a variety of teachers from trade school to my online doctoral program; helping me grow personally as well as professionally. Having the opportunity to share these lessons with students is another benefit of teaching, empowering students for a successful future. I aim to equip students with the skills to be effective critical and creative thinkers, in a fun but challenging classroom environment.
I am a strong believer in the Northwood Idea, especially in terms of Free Enterprise, Earned Success, and Individual Responsibility. It is also a privilege to be part of Northwood University’s decades-long leadership in the field of automotive education. To be part of Northwood’s commitment to provide students an exceptional business education with small classes and a variety of real-world experiences, is a great responsibility. At Northwood, I have the freedom to provide students with the necessary skills to succeed in a rapidly changing business environment.
